The Disney-fox should get a good portion of the credit, and Trogdor also for that matter... AND of course the horse for pointing out the castle. Gooby did very little, besides sexual assault and littering.
Well, Fox went out of his way to tell Peridot to NOT kiss the princess, so I don't think he should get any credit. The sexual assault had the side benefit of waking her up.
