When I first created this comic, it didn't have a cover for Chapter One. I actually added this after I'd already posted around 20 pages. This cover uses artwork from pages 14-15. That double page took weeks of work, but it was worth it. I love the huge magical moon in the sky.

Wowsers, this is gorgeous. I'm very jealous at your artistic ability.

Thanks. :)

I'm somewhat surprised that you'd willingly dedicate weeks to doing such a thing.

After previous dalliances with webcomics and finding that they were consuming close to 100% of my free time, I formally declared that I'd never again make a webcomic whose pages took more than an hour to put together... OR I'd get someone else to do the art. I tried the latter, but the artist eventually bailed on me... which sucked.
BACK to the point though... weeks?
I presume you don't have the depressions... Folks without the depressions seem impressively able to dedicate to things (without the constant burden of impending hopelessness crushing their progress). I've often wondered how that worked.

It takes a very long time for me to make pages for this comic. 10-20 hours a week unfortunately. The detailed double page did take a lot more. Sometimes if I'm really into a project, I can be patient.
