I don't know... A lot of things seem to happen around Peridot. I'd hardly call that "boring". :P

But yeah, I get what she means. I suspect she'll change her mind later though.

Being a Willow fan, I half hope she doesn't change her mind--that would make it easier to convince her to marry someone else. Though logistically the only alternative might be Fox, which... has several legal problems.

But yeah, Peridot really does seem more the adventuring-by-necessity type. Things happening around him are due mostly his company and circumstances.

Bellissima could just go off on an adventure of her own and drag Peridot along! They don't even have to get married as long as she's willing to put up with him kissing her once a week until a prince more to her liking comes along. Unless that only works once, I suppose.

The Independent Princess.

I definitely like her :)

Not sure she's right for Peridot, but then we don't know a whole lot about him, yet...

Oooh just had a thought. What if the fox was actually Peridot's brother? The one that went missing?

"...for me to find the sort of man..."
Is the second reading correct, or did she start saying something then change it part way through?

Thanks for all the feedback and theories guys. I enjoy seeing where people think my plot will go. :)

Randy- Typo fixed. Thanks for pointing it out.

Huh, that might work, depending on how serious the king's illness is. Fox was being tortured by the Witch for "months", so for him to be Jasper, the brothers have to have left home at least months apart from each other. If the king's just slowly wasting away, they probably have time for that. If he's going to be dying any day now, they might have been in more of a hurry.

Though I have doubts about it just because I'm not sure Obsidian would take all that long to gamble away his money, and he's apparently been doing that since before Jasper passed through the inn...
